On more than one occasion I have been accused of being frivolous or extravagant with my spending. Some people obviously take offense to the amount of money I spend on clothes. Besides the fact that a) I've lost 32kgs and have had to update my wardrobe so I have clothes that fit and b) I don't have children, nor do I have expensive hobbies, I don't smoke and rarely drink so I actually have the money to spend on clothes, I really think that it's none of their damn business what I spend my money on. However, I have always been one to care too much what others think of me so today I thought I'd show an example of one of my bargain outfits.
Please excuse the background - the boy has gone to the cricket and as I was running out the door after work I asked one of my colleagues to snap a pic for me.
This dress was $5 from Kmart. I have no link for it, nor does it have a fancy name. It's just the cute checked dress I picked up when it was on sale. I have the same dress in red with white cherries on it but I didn't get that on sale - I paid the exorbitant price of $15 for it *gasp*
The choker necklace I got from ebay for $1.99 with free postage. Yet again, I have no link for it but if you search for jewellery on ebay and check the box 'free postage' and set the price to a maximum of $2 you will be astounded at the range that comes up. Be warned though - it's dangerous! You can't seem to stop at one item...
The shoes are my regular cloppers that I wear so often I've more than gotten my money's worth from.
And there you have it. Scarlet stye on a budget.
